Common themes of low motivation and grief

Motivation

Motivation plays an enormous role in our lives and the directions we take in them. It’s the process of creating, guiding, and maintaining goals and it’s vital to our development. A lack of motivation can cause you to feel stuck, directionless, and even hopeless. It limits your ability to learn and grow and it can have negative effects on behavior.
Many factors can contribute to a lack of motivation, the current pandemic being a good example of one. You’ll learn techniques for successful change by identifying what has you stuck, where you want to go, and how to get there. With the support and guidance, you can develop new skills and a deeper understanding of how to introduce motivation back into your life.

Grief and Loss

Impermanence may be the harshest and most tragic reality we have to face. We can experience loss in so many areas of our lives, be it the loss of a person or animal, or the loss of something less tangible like a marriage or a job. Grieving is an important and natural stepping stone and essential in processing our feelings and healing emotionally. In some instances, grief can manifest in unhealthy ways, perhaps lingering too long or being expressed too intensely. For some, grieving can be a dark journey.
